The challenge
Rocky Valley Resort is a forest spa and tiny home resort on Texada Island, the largest of the Gulf Islands and one of the least visited. Nine units. Two saunas, cold dip tubs, an eight-person cedar hot tub, and a level of quiet that people pay a lot for elsewhere. The problem was awareness. A traveller cannot book a place they do not know exists, and Texada is not on anyone's default BC itinerary.
What we did
We became their full marketing partner in April 2024. On-site content capture across every season, social media management across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, paid campaigns built around booking intent, website development, influencer partnerships, email marketing, and monthly features through @Explore.BritishColumbia.
Over the engagement we captured more than 1,200 pieces of content on the property and published over 300 of them. The paid strategy focused on messaging campaigns, which meant every dollar went toward starting an actual booking conversation instead of chasing impressions.
The results
From the client’s own analytics

Why it worked
Texada's remoteness was the story, not the obstacle. Once we stopped apologizing for the ferry and started selling the isolation, the content found its audience.
